Quercus: Latin for Oak trees, beginning life as mere acorns.
Our mission is to build on fundamental discoveries made in
university laboratories to develop new modes of intervention for
infectious disease and cancer. We take the acorns of this knowledge
and help them grow into powerful treatments of disease.
Our powerful and novel platform was originally developed to identify new
therapeutics for human herpesviruses (HHVs); however, in light of the ongoing
COVID-19 pandemic, we have pivoted our antiviral efforts to include the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
